After a successful first season in the professional mountain biking peloton, Imbuko Wines returns as the headline sponsor to Team Imbuko. Managing director of Imbuko Wines, Theunis van Zyl, himself an avid mountain biker, is excited to again be involved with the two man team.

I treat rides exactly how they are planned. If they are meant to be at pace or a very slow recovery ride, then that is exactly what I do. And then when it comes to intervals I give it my everything. Treat training like you are at a stage race, everyone comes away from stage racing very strong so imagine if you could make your training that good all the time!

Winning a stage of the Cape Pioneer in 2015, it was and still is a UCI race so ranks on the international side of things. Besides this I have won several Ultra Endurance races which I also enjoy in a strange way. TransBaviaans, Transkaroo, Amarider 100 Miler and the Cederberg 100 Miler come to mind.
